Gilbert obtains 2 new patents
Gilbert further strengthens and expands its IP portfolio with grant of 2 new patents.
We are proud to share that 2 new patents of Gilbert have recently been granted in EU, Japan, China and the United States. It is anticipated that granting in more countries will follow soon.
These new patents protect our technology’s ability to tune the particle size and particle size distribution of the aerosol emitted by our Smart Precision Inhaler to enable highly precise delivery of advanced pharmaceutical compounds by inhalation.
Chief Scientific & Technology Officer Dr. Mehmet Üzümcü commented:
“It is very rewarding to see that these patents have been granted. It is a reflection of the great efforts of our team and the unique position that Gilbert holds in both the electrospray domain and the inhaled drug delivery domain.
The IP portfolio for our Smart Precision Inhaler now covers 5 patents to protect the overall electrospray system for our device, as well as covering individual subsystem components of the device. The portfolio covers a broad geographical range for the major territories/markets, with protection timelines up to 2043. We are pleased to see our technology – and IP roadmap is progressing so well.”
